About

Keith presently serves as the Communications & Outreach Manager, Public Information Officer and primary communications contact at Oklahoma Forestry Services. He is responsible for all marketing and communications efforts, oversees branding, website, social media, relations with news media, and certain outreach efforts. He single-handedly created the Safe Stay OK initiative which began as a fire safety effort in the Hochatown area and will be scaled up statewide. Eventually the effort is expected to be offered nationwide in areas where tourists gather in rented cabins along the woodland/urban interface.
In 2021, Keith finished an assignment overseeing the merger of two separate departments into a cohesive marketing and communications division at a three-county, 12-branch library system in central Oklahoma. In addition to his duties as a supervisor, he was responsible for the system image and spearheaded efforts to maintain consistent branding while working to increase the number of active cardholders. He also served on the system's administrative team which helped draft policy and oversee day-to-day operations.
Keith is a seasoned journalist and a broadcast industry professional. He has been recognized for his broad and extensive experience as a news reporter, anchor, producer, writer and editor. All of this comes on top of skills as an audio production master.
With nearly two decades of experience in the news media, Keith has been employed directly or on a freelance basis by a long list of outfits, in both broadcast and print, which includes CBS Radio, ABC Radio, United Press International, The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, KRLD-AM in Dallas, KLUV-FM in Dallas, KARN-AM/FM in Little Rock, Texas State Networks, Radio Oklahoma Networks, Arkansas Radio Network, Griffin Communications, Arkansas Review, the Rails to Trails Conservancy and the Little Rock Free Press.
Keith has been a guest news commentator on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the British Broadcasting Corporation, KGO in San Francisco, KNUS in Denver, WBT in Charlotte and KOMO in Seattle, among others.
With a strong reputation not only for exacting news judgement and high journalistic standards -- but also for creativity and insight -- Keith is the recipient of a slew of both national and state-level awards throughout his career.
Keith is also known to be an ardent music historian who has chronicled myriad subjects in broadcast, print and online. In 1999 he co-created, and presently co-writes and serves as executive producer and engineer of "Arkansongs," an award-winning program syndicated on public radio stations across the state of Arkansas as well as Louisiana and Texas.
Keith authored the introduction for the first-ever print edition, "Encyclopedia of Arkansas Music."
